Tha alkaline diet

When your body is acid, it is easier for viruses to proliferate, also cancer cells and inflammation.  For the body to be healthy, it has to maintain a neutral PH.  There are many things in modern life that acidify the system, especially what we eat.  In the same way, it is through food that we can most easiliy maintain our body neutral.  If you want to keep yor body healthy follow an alkaline diet, even if it’s just a week a year to detoxify:
  1. Avoid grease, fried foods, junk food, sweeteners, colorants and conservatives (all processed foods).
  2. Eat plenty green vegetables, preferably organic, since industrial pesticides and fertilizers are highly acidic and toxic.
  3. Eat fruit, but avoid the very acid ones, like citrus fruits.
  4. Of the vegetables, avoid tomatoes, things like chile and spices in general.
  5. Avoid animal protein, especially red meat and pork, reduce your intake of chicken and fish to two times a week.
  6. Eat nuts, seeds and whole grains.
  7. Honey is very healthy in small amounts, but it has to be organic and not pasteurized.
  8. Take probiotics, unsweetened natural yogurt contains acidophilus, but it’s convenient to take a probiotic supplement to have a larger spectrum of these beneficial bacteria.
  9. Avoid, as much as possible, taking medications, especially antibiotics and corticosteroids.
  10. Avoid alcohol, cigarretes, coffee, and black tea.
  11. It is recommended to take, first thing in the morning, a warm glass of water with the juice of half a lime.  Lime becomes alkaline in the body.  If you want, you can add a half teaspoonful of baking soda to help your liver detoxify.
